Today we are showing off an Avengers Superhero Party from last November. What little boy doesn’t love superheros and mine was no exception.
His birthday fell on a preschool day, so we decided to carry over the theme. We bought a bunch of M&M’s and separated them into colors. Red and gold were for Iron Man, brown and green were for The Hulk, blue and red were for Captain America. The gold M&Ms are in the fall package only, so make sure you plan accordingly. If not, the yellow M&Ms are a good substitute. We put them in little pretzel bags found at your craft stores, then tied some ribbon around it. The cute printable was made from my husband. If you are interested in it, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year we decided to have a friends party. I found a cute printable pack on Etsy from HERE. This printable pack worked perfect for the party and is pretty much all I used for decorations. I printed some of them big to use for banner. We also had an ice cream bar. I glued the printables on colored popsicle sticks. The party favor bags are from Michael’s. The cupcake holders came with the printables. I made the cupcakes and used sprinkles that matched the superhero.
When all the kids came to the party, we let them pick out which superhero mask they wanted, which were purchased from Walmart. We then used big sturdy paper plates to let them decorate their own shield. We hired some superheros and a villan to come teach the kids how to be a superhero.
Captain America taught them how to use a shield by blocking ping pong balls we tossed at them.
Thor taught them how to throw his hammer by tossing the hammer at cans that had pictures of villans taped to them.
Iron Man taught them how to shoot from their hands using silly string, which they then got to practice on the villan with.
At the end, each superhero gave them a little souvenir to put in the bags to take home. We had avengers fruit snacks, pencils, crayons, and tattoos. This party was so much fun a such a success! All the kids had such a ball!
