My little man had his first birthday back in December and he loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates so his party was a no brainer! It was so much fun planning and deciding what to do and how to decorate. As always, we try to decorate and make the house themed and fun, but still stay on a budget.
For the decorations, I found a free Disney digital paper download. I downloaded the skull and bones and used that to make a banner throughout the whole house by cutting out triangles. I also found free downloads of all the characters, gold doubloons, to hang up. I also used these straw flags to wrap around the silverware in a napkin. For any words you may want printed, like a Happy Birthday sign, you can find the font here. I also used 14 pictures to make a big #1 for his year in review.
The food was simple sandwiches that I made to look like a crab with croissant, olives, and cheetos. Ok, ok lets be honest. In all the birthday party day of craziness, I forgot to put the legs of the crabs on. But use three cheetos on each side to make an adorable croissant crab.
For dessert we had cupcakes from Smiths. If you have read any of our other posts, anytime we have cupcakes we get them from Smiths. They do a great job for a price that doesn’t break the bank, and they are so tasty too. I purchased instant downloads off Etsy for these fun cupcake toppers. They were so cute!
It was such a fun night! Do you have any Jake and the Neverland Pirate lovers at your house? If so, we hope this gives some good ideas for a fun piratey party!
