Pallet Pumpkin | DIY Tutorial

Happy fall y’all! Since fall is now here officially, we thought it would be fun to bring you a festive fall or Halloween easy craft!

This is so easy and the pictures explain it pretty well, so if you have a question on anything not covered, just leave a comment below!

Step One:

Pick your boards and lay them out. Stagger the edges to make a tiered shape.

Step Two:

Measure the distance between each tier level and mark off on the other side to cut. Our tiers varied from 1 inch to an inch and a half. Our longest middle board ended up being 21 inches, and was 18 inches tall, excluding the stem.

Step Three:

Paint with a base coat so when you want your actual color, it will be brighter and you won’t need to do as many coats.

Step Four:

Lay your boards face down and use a thin board to keep it all together, and then screw through each board to make sure it is secure.

Step Five:

Distress the pumpkin using sandpaper. We used 100 grit. I also had a little help with this step 😉

And finally, get that pumpkin hung up! I kept mine plain, but how cute would be to add a pattern to it? You could do chevron, stripes, polka dots, or even a jack-o-lantern face. The possibilities are endless! We’d love to hear if you make one!

Colored Rocks | Tutorial

We have a ton of rocks just lying around our yard. They are boring and ugly and really just get in the way of pretty flowers. One day we collected all our rocks and decided to paint them. We have so much spray paint from past projects we decided to put it to use.

This tutorial is super hard. So I hope it makes sense 😉 Gather rocks | Wash all the dirt off | Spray paint a base coat primer on (we used white) | Spray paint your colors of choice | Let dry | Place in garden, sand box, around the yard for some color, or wherever else you want. Easy, right?

This is an easy way to add some cheap and easy fun to your yard! My little guy loves digging and finding them and putting them in the back of his toy truck. Even my nephews love to play and dig and find them. Hours of fun!

We would love to hear if you plan on doing this! We are thinking how fun it would be to paint some fun things on them too, lady bugs, bees, rock people, fish!
